ADDITIONAL
Fuel
The recommended fuel for the Outdooroven is firewood.
Draining
The top plate of the Outdooroven is slightly tilted and has two gaps at the back, so rainwater will be drained from the top of the Outdooroven.
Firebrick
The fireproof brick in the top compartment of the Outdooroven can be used for baking, dishes like pizzas for example. The brick sees to an even distribution of the heat of the fire, so the food will be cooked evenly.
Perforated bottom plate
The combustion chamber of the Outdooroven has a ‘table’: an elevated plate. The plate is perforated, thus providing a flow of air for the fire in the combustion chamber. The perforated plate also keeps the combustion chamber clean because the smaller ash particles fall through the holes.
Corten Steel
Corten steel is also known as Weathering steel. This kind of steel is known for it’s longlasting character. Corten steel is a metal alloy of copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel and chromium. It’s strength is similar to stainless steel. The name Corten steel derives its name from Cor (corrosion resistent) and Ten (tensile strength). Tensile strength means the amount of mechanic tension of some material before it’s getting deformed. Corten steel has a rust-coloured oxide skin. This skin protects the deeper material against oxygen and slows down the oxidation. The lifespan of this kind of steel is very long, because the first layer of corrosion stops further degradation by rust. This makes it needless to paint it.
