The design of the Stonestove is based on the capacity of concrete to accumulate and store heat. The heat of the fire builds up in the fireproof concrete exterior, and is gradually emitted to its surroundings. This creates a constant and soft radiation of warmth, even when the fire is temporarily extinguished.

SMOKE CHANNEL
An important contributor to the optimal heat generation of the Stonestove is the ingenious smoke channel: instead of just looping from front to back, this smoke channel has an extra loop going downwards. There the smoke is split in two separate streams so the hot air comes in contact with the whole of the absorbing concrete surface.
AIR SUPPLY
The stove uses the surrounding air, external air supply is not possible.
The air supply can be manually controlled by two regulators: one beneath and one above the window
